The Eternal Ganga

The River Made of Rivers

No great river flows alone. The Ganga carries a civilisation because hundreds of smaller rivers carry it first: streams from the Himalaya, rivers from the plains, each giving its water and its story.

Drawn by hand · Numbered edition · For prints 2 to 4 ft wide

Made by hand

Weeks of work for a single piece

Every line is drawn by hand. A single work takes weeks to finish: traced, drawn, revised and refined until each river, each edge and each touch of gold is right.

Before a work reaches you, it is printed and tested on paper, and adjusted until the colour and the finest lines hold up at full size. Only then is it released.

Your thoughts help shape the next work. We welcome feedback at hello@eternalelementia.com.

The idea

One element, one direction, one work.

Vastu Shastra reads a home as a meeting of five elements: water, fire, earth, air and space. Each has its own direction, and each direction asks something different of the rooms that face it.

Every Eternal Elementia work begins with one of those elements and a single question: what does this force bring into the rooms we live in? The answer becomes one carefully made piece, drawn by hand, issued as a numbered edition with its own certificate, and accompanied by notes on where in the home it sits best.
